You Give An Hour per Week?
Children with Special Needs.....St. Joseph's has a wonderful Faith Formation program for children who have special needs. Kathy Flinn has led this effort for the past 30 years and she is now ready to pass on the torch. We are looking for someone to coordinate the Special Needs Program. There are about 20 children every year. The group meets in the O'Connell room from September through April on Tuesdays from 4:30 until 5:30pm. Each week, catechists creatively present lessons to the children, one-on-one. The lesson is followed by a group para-liturgy or project that includes all the children. The curriculum and all of the supplies are provided. The coordinator welcomes the children and oversees the Tuesday sessions. Kathy Flinn is very willing to assist and advise the new person for the entire year.
