Other Sundays:
Where does Youth Ministry begin? At our 5:00pm Mass, with Jesus Christ as our hero and model. After being fed on the Eucharist, our confirmed young people meet with our Youth Minister, Barbara McNulty, and those adults and young people assisting her.
What happens at Youth Ministry meetings? All the great ingredients needed to keep growing: here’s a quick sample:
Fun! Movie Night, Game Night, Karaoke Night, Jello-eating contests and more.
Food! Pizza, sandwiches, and snacks.
Faith-Sharing! Connecting teens’ everyday lives with the great Bible stories.
Friendship-Building! Here onsite at the Parish - working together to build our new Youth Space, the Madonna Room, and off-site with nights of Extreme Bowling, Laser Tag, Special Retreats, and more!
There’s also a service component to our Youth Ministry Program, a reminder to us all that Christians help one another: it’s a way of life! You will notice lots of young people at the Sunday 5:00pm Mass serving the community in different ways, such as singing, playing musical instruments, ushering and taking up the collection, readers, and ministers of Holy Communion.
Did you ask: “What about Sports?”
We’re glad you asked! We also have CYO basketball and track here at St. Joseph. Our coaches and leaders provide the necessary expertise and support so young people can have fun as well as learn life-long lessons about teamwork and discovering their talents.
We welcome you to Youth Ministry!
