These ministries assist in many ways each week and at special liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Special training is given and schedules are provided so that no one needs to feel they are giving of themselves every week.
If you feel called to assist our Clergy at Mass whether it be by reading, by assisting to distribute the Eucharist, or cleaning or decorating the church, please let us know.
Young people are also welcome to assist. Those who are in Grade 3 and above can be trained as Altar Servers. Those who have received Confirmation can assist as Lectors. Young Adults who are in their Senior Year of High School are also welcome to attend training to assist as Extra-Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.

Below are details regarding Lectors & Eucharistic Ministers.
To prayerfully proclaim the Word of the Lord during the celebration of the Mass.
The lectors serve at the celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays and Holydays. The lectors proclaim the 1st and 2nd readings during the Mass, and also proclaim the special readings on Holydays --- such as the group reading of the Passion during Holy Week.
The Ministry is open to all members of the Parish. We currently have lectors with less than a year’s experience to “veterans” with over 45 years of service in the Ministry. We have lectors who are retired --- as well as teen lectors who are still in high school. When you join the Ministry, an experienced lector will work with you to make sure you are comfortable serving as a lector.

This Ministry is still being brought back to life as we adapt and overcome the restrictions which were necessary during the Pandemic.
If you, or someone you know have completed the 5th grade, received 1st Holy Communion, attend Mass regularly, and would like to assist our Clergy, please let us know. Full training is provided.
