Despite going through a Pandemic, we have been able to meet our goal, which was that no one would go hungry during this difficult time. This was possible through the generosity of
Throughout 2020 we have helped more than 135 families in programs like Back to School and Thanksgiving without counting on the services that are offered regularly such as helping the homeless community. At this moment we are getting ready for Christmas programs, for example, the Angel Brigade, Giving Tree, Christmas food distribution, and also a hundred Christmas meals donated by Lily Flanagan’s Pub.
This year also brought good things, like the joy of finally having our long-awaited ramp, generously donated to us, in order to offer better service to our disabled clients as well as facilitate the work of our team of volunteers.
Thanks to the blessing of working closely with Saint Vincent De Paul, we have been able to meet the challenges that this year brought us. We were able to bring food to the homes of families infected with the virus and to clients who could not leave their houses because they were high risk. After December 23rd we can successfully close the programs for 2020, and initiate new procedures for 2021! God Bless All who have help these in need this year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Here's how we can work together this Christmas Season to give HOPE to our neighbors:
1. Commit to praying at least One Hail Mary every day for someone who feels hopeless.
2. Collect New or Gently worn Hats, Gloves, Mittens, Scarves, and Hand Warmers which Outreach will distribute to the Homeless and Families in Need
3. Adopt a Family by taking a leaf from one of the Giving Trees in the CHURCH or HALL
4. Donate Store Gift Cards to Outreach so a family can have the dignity of shopping for themselves this Christmas Season.
5. Love your family and let them know it!
Many of us feel HOPELESS in this unprecedented COVID world we are now in. Talk about your feelings with your family and friends.
SHARE THE HOPE OF YOUR FAITH WITH OTHERS.
Thrift Shop’s news.
Once again we turn to your kindness so that we can finish fixing the Thrift Shop. As you know last year the Thrift Shop was flooded, and we suffered extensive damage. The floors and walls of three rooms on the first level and four of the basement rooms needed repair; in addition, we had to use a company to clean the asbestos and the mold. Although insurance covered the high costs for those repairs we were still paying the deductible of $5.000. Also, we lost a lot of the donations from different seasons that we stored in the basement because the bins were on the floor.
It is for this reason we are trying to prevent the same situation from happening again, we thought of putting the donations in-store bins on shelves that keep them at a safe height from the floor that will protect donations in case of other floods, as well making donations more accessible and safe for our volunteers.
Here is where we turn to your generosity once again, for this project we would need at least twenty metal shelves which cost is $140 each, to a high cost for us to cover it without your help. Therefore if you would like to give us a hand with this project you could send your donations to St. Joseph Outreach/memo, Thrift Shop’s shelves.
Thank you in advance!
