PLANNING A FUNERAL AT ST. JOSEPH PARISH
**Please note that additional precautions are in place at this time to safeguard the health of everyone at the Parish. Space is limited in the Church so seating is assigned. The number of people in the Church is presently limited to 50. Please advise the Ministry of Consolation if you expect more than 50 people and we will arrange to have the Mass Live Streamed so others can participate from home or another location. Please follow the guidance of the Consolation Companion and advise your friends and family accordingly. THANK YOU.
May the Peace of the Risen Christ be with you. The death of a loved one is always a difficult time for family and friends. As a loving and welcoming community, we at St. Joseph offer our condolences at this time of sorrow and grief.
We invite and encourage your participation in the funeral liturgy. After your funeral director requests the funeral, a companion, from the Ministry of Consolation, will contact you to arrange to meet with you, either at your home or at the Parish Center, prior to the day of the funeral.
The companion will explain the meaning and elements of the funeral rites, options available for participation, answer questions and be of assistance to you during the time prior to and during the funeral Mass.
If you have any questions, or you are interested in pre-planning, please call the Parish Center at (631) 669-0068 and ask to have someone from the Ministry of Consolation contact you.
